The Gates of Deception

How Evil Enters and Takes Over

The mouth is the gate through which things are created and brought into the natural realm from the spiritual. The mind is the portal bridging the natural and spiritual worlds. The eyes are the windows, and the ears are the doors into the mind. The conscience serves as the vigilant gatekeeper of this portal.

Spirits—both good and evil—enter through the eyes and ears. They then attempt to bypass the conscience. If they succeed, access is granted to the mind's portal, unlocking the gate (the mouth) to import realities from the spiritual realm.

But beware: If an evil spirit gains entry, it calls in armies of darkness. They destroy the gatekeeper (your conscience), seize control of the entire fortress, and begin flooding the natural world with wickedness. These forces will use the compromised vessel (your body and life) to transmit themselves to other vulnerable hosts, spreading deception like a virus.

Through the Ears (Doors): Sweet sounds and words that seek your agreement, tempt your opinions, or cause you to repeat and affirm what you've heard—planting seeds of lies.

Through the Eyes (Windows): Visions and images that ignite desires, compelling you to act on what you've seen—whether lust, envy, or violence.

Guard your gates diligently! "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Proverbs 4:23). Fill your eyes and ears with truth from God's Word, strengthen your conscience through prayer, and speak life with your mouth. Only then can you resist deception and import heaven's realities instead.
